I thought I would show you the outfit my friend made my daughter awhile back. It's so fun and cute and she looks adorable in it-coming from biased me that is. :)
She has a boutique called 3.l.p. Couture and she makes the most unique and adorable clothing and accessories for kids...very talented!!! I've known her since high school when it seemed she was always making something new for every dance we went to. Anyway, check it out! :) Click here to go to her site. She's wonderful!(She even gave us a set of matching tights, but with this summer heat, she has elected not to ear them lately.) :)

Bold and Bright
I made this card for this week's Ways to Use it on Splitcoast. I have Fourth of July stuck in my head still and love these three colors together anyway. I would conside them all quite bold and/or bright as well, so it works. I got my inspiration from this card on the right that I found a couple of weeks ago on Splitcoast. (I forgot to write down once again who created it-sorry-but thanks for the inspiration!)
I keep wondering if it needs something down in one corner or along one side still....maybe some frayed yarn?

Sketch Challenge...more fairies
Well, I had already stamped and colored these fairies several weeks ago, so I decided to look up this week's sketch challenge and use them...I actually am using last week's sketch though! :) So, here are two variations:
(The bottom pic is kinda blurry. I am really having a hard time with this camera...I miss my old one that broke.) :(

Yeah! Hoorah!
I got some pics!!!The first is the diorama. I made it with the Fourth of July in mind. I actually wonder if I would like it better with the "Land that I love" set, but was doing it for a friend and she wanted a current set used for it, so....here it is! What do you think?
The second is one for a cousin of mine, like I mentioned. If you take the missionary tag off, though it works great for Father's Day too. :) It is soooooo fast and easy too! :)
Grrrrr...
So, I have two new cards I made tonight to show you, but my camera is telling me that the card is "write protected" and won't let me take any pics now....grrrr...have to play with it and see if I can get it to work again...until then...use your imagination-haha.
One is a diorama and is patriotic. I told you in the previous post that it would be with the set "Land that I Love" but I was thinking wrong. (Although I do have that set and it would look great in this card too.) It is actually with the set "The Free and the Brave". I also have a couple of other sets/ideas I want to try as diorama cards. Maybe tomorrow night...
And the other card is for my cousin who just left for his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. :) I used one of Sunbeams stamps for it. You could also alter it to be used for a Father's day card. (for next year) :)
Now to mess with my camera...Cross your fingers!

Soon to be...
back in the saddle again!
I have to get my house back under control, after a week of being in the heat, an ignored house for a week, ornery kids, and everything else that comes our way...and then I'll be stamping again this week. PLUS we have stamp club this coming weekend!!! Yeah! And I get to help design a card too. I'll be doing a diorama with the Land that I Love set, so see ya soon! :)

On a Roll...until...
I feel like I have gotten some momentum going with stamping the past couple of weeks, until this week and I am at Cub Scout Day Camp all week each day-my whole fam is there this year-my hubby is helping on the BB gun range, I'm a walking leader, my two sons are there as scouters (a Tiger and a Webelo) and my youngest goes to the sibling class and is loving it! (Thank goodness! And let me tell you how HOT it is outside everyday here!!!!) Anyway, this means I will be MIA this week...maybe toward the end of the week, I will be able to create/post. Have a good one! :)

Once upon a time...
...a very long time ago, I started another set of OSW with Sunbeam stamps with some bright cheery colors. Well, I kinda finished them here and there over the last few months, but I wanted to show you some of the pics of how they turned out, so here you go! :)
Very simple layouts, but then, that is OSW's typically...I had a harder time with the bright colors-I always seem to have a harder time creating cards with the brighter colors. I really like the green, can you tell? :)
(The card above and below I showed you near Mothers Day as well.)

Forgotten
Forgot to post this card that we made at club last month. I might have to get this wheel. I really like how easy it was to use and the cute background it made. (It's embossed here.) The card opens up where the ribbon and ric rac are and it opens up, not to the side. Easy and cute card! (And it fits in a standard mailing envelope-the small ones.)
Can you see it?????
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE pic...cute cute card!!!
Sorry about the blurriness. I only took one pic of this one before i gave it away and grrrrr....it's blurry, but I wanted to share it anyway, b/c I love these new Keto stamps I got from Bella. Such cute fairies!!!!! Excited to do more.
I'm telling you this pic is absolutely horrific! You can't even see the clear glass beads I glued on her wings that were so cute and the blue rhinestones on her crown (same as the ones in the center of the flowers and in the "o" on the word "you".) The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy stamps...maybe I will have to make another one of these cards, so you can see it better...

Bella Fairies SC232
I love the new "Bella" fairies I got recently! And the sentiments from "Whiff of Joy" go along perfectly!
Stamped this whole card-I've been using a lot of DP lately and I am proud of myself for stamping all the backgrounds this time. :) Although, I am wondering if the orange background on the blue is a little too bold still...oh well, it still goes ok.
Hard to see, but there are clear glass beads on the top of the cake and glitter on her wings. :)

Color Challenge: White
This week's color challenge was....WHITE!!!! Only white paper!!!! CC222
So...had to think on this one...here's what I came up with:
The colors in this are not showing very well, b/c I took the pic at night and the flash went off. The middle oval is embossed in not quite navy, and the bottom lettering is stamped in the same color-soldier is in true thyme...kinda of a weird layout/combination, but at the same time, I think what they all represent are neat together and go together, as well as represent my thoughts...the quote goes right along with it I think too...(It's hard to read in the pic, but says : "It is love of country that lights and keeps glowing the fire of patriotism.")
There are also some dry embossed stars that are also kind of hard to see...I think it is prettier in person...aren't they always though?
Hope I didn't cheat since I popped some white up and used velum... ;)
So....what do you think? I'd love to hear...Too different, weird?Update: Here is a better pic I took in the daylight.
Baby baskets
I've been making a couple of baby baskets lately. I used to make these much more often a few years ago and decided to do a few again for some baby gifts I needed. I have fun gathering stuff for them and putting them together. Of course I still have to add a cute card to them as well. :) (I love this cute cute basket above!!! A friend gave it to me to use for this basket and it's so fun! As are the little tiny ballet slipper shoes...)
Baby boy basket:
I like the blue, yellow, and greens in this one. Fun colors and loved the frog with it all. :) Hope they like it as much as I do... :)

Grrrrr....
I made a fun fun! card last night (around 2 again! can't sleep with my hubby's schedule. ugh!) anyway-I soooo want to share it, but I can't find my camera!!!! Grrrrr....I had it last night...still looking...
Here's a hint...(about the card, not the camera LOL) it's colorful, but I still like it (not usually a huge fan of lots of bold colors) and might make you want to bake. Hee hee. :)

T-I-M-E
Ironic, that I made this card at 2 am, after my kids went to sleep, because it's hard to find time to stamp when they are awake...although I still feel guilty half the time that I either clean or do something else that has to be done instead of playing with my kids...my daughter said to me the other day "Mom, I love playing with you, but you can't play, right?" And she said it all smiling, just knowing apparently that I say, "not now" too much it seems...how do you figure out the balancing act? I get frustrated faster if the house is a mess and feel better when it's clean, but then feel bad that I didn't spend time with the kids....anyway-I still think this card could be better, but for doing it at 2 am, and rather quickly in my bed even, not too shabby...going to take the kids swimming now. :)
(The square in the middle is popped up on dimensionals for fun...I think next time, I will make a bigger square...)
