I love this sentiment. It's something I always know, but it's always good to hear.
I wanted a simple card to go with the sentiment and think I got it with this card. Simple and yet pretty still. Very different look between the white and the dry embossing and the large black brads, but I like the combination.

Baby Bib Card
Saw a friend make a card similar to this shape and size with her cricut and I thought "How cute would that be as a baby bib?"...so I made on (w/o a cricut though) :) It's ok-I want to try again, but it might have to wait awhile. I am running out of time to stamp much until awhile after the baby comes.

Stamped Family Portraits
Yeah! I got it done!
I actually made two different layouts and am saving the one for us when the baby is born, although I think I like the one I am giving away just as much as the other-might have to make yet another. :)
They really don't take much time at all-the stamping is what takes the longest. I have to tell you too, that I absolutely hate measuring. I don't like extra steps and eyeball most things I stamp. But for this, I use a stampa-ma-jig. Otherwise, I end up stamping at least three different family portraits usually messing up one at the end before I get one all the way right.
This family has 3 dogs and she told me the colors and a beta fish. (I drew the fishbowl in.) I also added clouds this time and like that it helps with all the white that is typically at the top of the family.
Anyway-now Ijust need to buy a frame and put it in. I really like the outcome of both. It makes me want to try more too.

My kids' valentines
I mentioned my kids made valentines out of different sizes of hearts this year into animal shapes and that was my inspiration in my card/post with the pink pig on the front. Anyway, I said I would have to show you the pics-sorry for the repeat for those of you that look at my family's blog as well, but I love how they turned out-loved seeing my kids come up with all kinds of ways to make them and seeing them turn out great-in ways I never would have thought of myself. (They started out with a "cheat-sheet" (pics of some to make) but were soon making up their own.)

Hogs and Kisses or Baby Love?
My kids made tons of Valentines out of hearts in the shape of animals-so I joined them and made this pig, but then thought it would look so cute on a card, so here you are!
I was thinking originally "Hogs and Kisses" for Valentines Day, but also thought how cute for a baby girl card?
(I'll have to show you pics of all the ones they made later. They did so good and were so creative and even came up with some orginals!)
Trying
I have been thinking that I need to get a couple of good days of stamping in, so that I have a build-up of cards in hand before the baby comes...two weeks from tomorrow! :) Anyway-it hasn't happened. Today though, I did finish a project for a friend-a tin of cards that was a collaberation of effort from a few friends and I. We all made cards to fill it for her and to let her know we are thinking of her. I finished it and was ready to take it to her tonight and looked all over for my camera to take a pic before I left, but couldn't find it. So my 10 yr old offered me his camera to use. I did take some on it, but am not too optimistic as to how they turned out and I have yet to upload them. I'll show you when I do though. It was so simple and turned out cheery and cute and I think.
I still have another project I owe a friend-a stamped family portrait and soon I will have to do another for our family too. :) So I will be working on that this week and will post that pic soon too. Maybe I can sneak in some other stamping somewhere this week or next too, but it's getting hard to get everything done I want in the amount of time I have left. We'll see...

Trying
Okay, so this one I am trying for a different look than I usually do...
Used a chipboard and inked it black-thought it went well with the dry embossed background and wanted it simple and just black and white at first, but ended up throwing a little color in there. I think I like how it turned out. (I just eyeballed the black swirly square/block thing, but have now since ordered the punch b/c I liked it and think I will use it more.)
Welcome!
