Well, I am back from being out of town last weekend. It was a great weekend, but I have been so tired, that if I move my head much, I get dizzy and it feels like my head is going to fall off. Don't you just love that feeling? :) Needless to say, I haven't gotten too far on any other projects or posts. I have to have some done by Wed though, b/c I wanted to give some away to my piano students, so check back on Wed.
Happy Haunting this week!

Quick card tins
More projects still!
I have been working on these little card tins to give to a couple of my favorite people for their birthdays. I found the little tins at the dollar spot at Target earlier this year for like a quarter each. I wish I would have bought more. I think they are so cute with just the simplest of decorations on them.
I decorated the fronts a bit and filled them with a bunch of miscellaneous cards to give away for their use-hopefully they will enjoy using them and giving them to others when they need to grab a quick card.

Festive!
Here's another fun card I made this week for a friend. I love these two stamps together and have been trying to find something to use these cute candy corn buttons on that my mom gave me at least a year ago for fun. For some reason this card took my an awful long time to "get it right". Maybe it's because everything is pretty proportionate and centered. I am not typically like this, but I know the person I made this card for is more like this. Maybe they'll like it better then? I had to add the candy corn though, and for me at least, I like how it adds something not centered exactly. I can't decide if I should color the pic or if it will add too much color and take away from the rest of the card though....????
What are your thoughts?
(It can hold a gift card inside of it and I found the perfect one for it too!) :)

Word Search Pull-Out
Okay-I am beginning to wonder if anybody is out there? Either way, I suppose I still enjoy doing this blog.
I got a new background stamp awhile ago and needed to use it this week. Honestly, with this one, I had no idea what I was going to do with it. So, I looked on splitcoast for a little inspiration and came up with this.
It's not my typical style-but I love it! And my kids think it would be great fun to receive it, so I suppose that means that it is a success!
The background stamp is Stampin' Up's retired Word Search. The card was actually really easy and fast to make. The main paper is double sided designer cardstock from Sam's Club. They come in 12x12 size. I just cut it to a strip, folded it in half and trimmed off a bit at the top. (I wanted to make sure it would fit in a normal car-sized envelope.) Then I used a square punch I have to punch that square in the front and glued the sides together. Then I stamped the word search on another paper and trimmed it to fit in the main part of the card. I added the tab at the top with another file folder tab punch I have. Then I stamped (and embossed on some-sorry the sentiment is hard to see in the first above picture.) the sentiment and put all of the front together. On some, I added some page pebbles for fun over the stamped circles. I slid the word search in and stapled the ribbon at the top and wala! (So, the word search pulls out for the kids to do for fun.)
I love to hear what you think or any suggestions you have for improvements. Thanks to all those who have shared their opinions already on it. :)

Basket of goodies
Okay-so I was thinking that I couldn't very well, go up to my friend's door with all of these in my arms and hand them to her one at a time, so I ran to the store and found a basket to hold them all and added a few more things as well. (It wasn't exactly the basket/look I was going for, but I had all three kids and wasn't about to go to several stores with them all to find it, so it works.)
Better?
I tucked the card in an envelope in the back of the basket too.
(See post below for more deets.)
From this...to that
So, I like altering things-as in papercrafting, so I thought I would show a before and after pic this time. The above pic (is the before (obviously) and the below pic is the Now picture! :) Ta Da!!!
I have a friend who had a double mastectomy last year and is still having surgeries associated with it now and since it is Breast Cancer Awareness month, I thought I would like to give her a small gift, and this is what I came up with.
I still need to find the right container/basket? to put it all in to give to her, but I like the outcome. I hope she does too.
Here are the deets:
1 card
1 altered notebook (might add a pen still to go with it)
2 decorated breast cancer awareness boxes of tic-tacs
1 box of Ghiradelli chocolates
1 altered "Crystal Light" (or other brand) container (You can fill these with candy, mints, cookies stacked on top of each other, chocolate dipped pretzel sticks-anything!!!)
Stamp set from (site): My Favorite Things, set: "Think Pink"
So, what do you think? Any more suggestions of stuff to include?
As for the sneak peak I gave you a couple weeks ago-those projects are still unfinished. I have two others I am trying to get done as well though now too. Most likely, the finished projects of the sneak peaks will be posted next week!!!
TFL! (Thanks for looking!)

The Eensie Weensie Spider...
A friend of mine sent me a link to a blog with these cute lollipops a few weeks ago and I am just now getting to make these cute little Halloween favors. They are so fun and easy too! The hardest part for me was actually finding flat lollipops/suckers. I found all kids of round ones (dum-dums, tootsie pops, etc.), but had to look hard to find the flat ones.
Anyway, here is a link to the blog I got the idea from. (You can also do these on either side of a peppermint pattie-probably would have been much easier to find for me. :)
(Here is another link to another blog where she also made the spiders and she shows all the punches she used to make it so fast and easy. Unfortunately, I only have the scallop circle punch, and a couple of the larger circle punches, so I cut out the rest-thus the lopsided smaller circles.) Oh well-they are still cute!
I have a pumpkin I bought from Hobby Lobby? a few years ago that plugs into the wall and has a light inside it. I screwed holes all over the top of it and I have put lollipops in it sticking out. (I saw my mom do this first. Thanks mom!) I thought these would be super cute in the pumpkin this way!!! I have taken it places and set it out that way as a treat and decor and also thought of leaving it on our porch that way this year when we are out trick-or-treating. (Make sure you don't frill holes all the way down the back of the pumpkin-it will fall over from the weight of all the suckers that way.) My daughter is now wanting me to fill all of the holes with these! Back to work! :)Below: This is how I found them arranged a bit later (from my daughter-it seems that they are all having a conversation. :)

Back!
Well, I got back late Fri pm and spent Sat trying to catch up on our house and errands and bday parties and all kinds of things...BUT, I thought I would share a card I made awhile back with you. I actually really like this card, but wasn't sure I did when I was making it. It is very different for me I think...kinda eclectic with the ribbon going on there.
Anyway-more posts later this week! And for L with the comment on the last post-good guess!!! And they are soooo easy! :)

Scrapbooking you say?
Yes, I took a little detour from the scrapbooking lately. I have missed the creative juices flowing with the cards and treated myself by making a few other things. I still am working on the scrapbooks though and am finishing up my other son's book now.
Here are a few of his pages...some were done before, some are still unfinished...need to put in the headers and journaling and touches here and there, maybe a little decor...again simple...

Sneak Peaks...guesses anyone?
Here are a couple of pics of some sneak peaks for you. I will be gone the first part of this week and won't be able to finish them yet, so I thought I would show pieces of a couple projects that I have started.
Any guesses to what they are???? I love seeing and reading your comments (from the 2-3 of you that read this on a regular basis) LOL.Any guesses to what they are???? I love seeing and reading your comments (from the 2-3 of you that read this on a regular basis) LOL.
They still need some work though, so stay tuned later this week for more of them-hopefully the finished projects. :)

Frankenstein Treat Box
I whipped this out on Monday for a small treat box to give some people this next month. It was so quick and easy and I love how these two stamps go together. (They are from two different stamp sets I have.)
I already had a bunch of these little boxes. I found them in the wedding stuff at Walmart on clearance this summer...and the green shredded paper was from clearnace easter stuff. So, I stamped a background on the box with Staz on indigo ink and then folded it together. I then added the front stuff and the brad and clip with orange rafia at the top.
I plan on filling them with the little pumpkins. Too cute! Definitely way easy!!!

The Color of Fall
I have been in a "fall/autumn" mood lately (even though it is still in the nineties here during the day). I got this tree stamp recently from my sister's friend who was cleaning out her stamps and thought it could make a really pretty card. I decided to pull out my pearl-ex powders and try to create a "fall tree" look. (to use these, you stamp with a versamark ink pad and then brush on the powder with a paintbrush.) I am really happy with the outcome. I love the colors all together and love how it "shimmers" (see the close up pic). I made the card with the birthday sentiment first and then made the other. I like the 2nd one I made best (with the clip and ribbon at the top). I also like the clouds on that one the best. I punched a scallop circle and sponged, with white craft ink, on it's edges to create the clouds. I embossed the sentiment with red craft ink and iridescent powder to make it shimmer a bit like the tree. I also popped the blue up on dimensionals (although it is hard to tell in the pics.) I always like it when people use craft paper, but I have such a hard time figuring out cards with it. I think this one works. :)
The coloring/pearl-ex looks so much better in person. Sorry.
Welcome!
