Happy Monday! Did you survive the Christmas clean up this past weekend? Ha! That always seems like the worst part. You work for weeks getting ready for the BIG day and then all of the sudden it is over, and what's left is the aftermath. I do have to say that I enjoy seeing all that we are blessed with IN that aftermath though. It's all about perspective I guess, isn't it? Well, today I'm excited to share something with you that you can use THIS weekend with your friends and family to help you ring in the New Years together! A fun New Year's Eve Countdown Game that you can just print out and hang up. So so easy! Plus I've got yummy snacks to share like this Cracker Barrel Cheese Tray and ways to save over $13 with Kraft! So...don't go anywhere!

Free Printable: Comparison is the thief of Joy

I spent this past weekend listening to leaders from my church at Worldwide General Conference. I love coming back from these weekends uplifted and inspired to do better, to be better...to try harder.

I have several new quotes that I favorited from this past weekend, but I had to start off with this past favorite one of mine today.

United States of AMERICA Free Printable

Here's one more last minute free printable for you today.

I know that there has been lots of controversy lately in our Land of the Free. I have to say that I love this land with all of my heart. At times I have been disappointed with the people of this land and the direction that it has been going, but I truly do still love it here. I love what America stands for. I love seeing the red, white, and blue and knowing the meaning behind each color. I love our flag, the way it is and has been for years. I love that it stands for the freedoms we have, the protection we receive from those in the uniform, and I love the respect it shows to those who server this country and who founded this country years ago. It is truly an inspired nation that was built under God's direction and hand and is a blessing to us.

So there you have it, no matter your religious affiliation, ethnicity, gender, gender preference, etc. the Red, white, and blue is what brings us all together. It's what enables us to use our free agency and to choose for ourselves our beliefs and to stand up for them. There is beauty in the red, white, and blue because of that.

Happy Fourth of July!

Free Fourth of July Printable {Land of the Free, Home of the Brave}

I've been working on some Fourth of July crafts this week and have been creating a few printables as well, so I thought I would share a couple with you today. As always, my printables are free, for your personal use only though.

I love the simplicity of this one framed in a weathered barn wood frame or in a thick, chunky, black frame. No matter where you use it, hope you enjoy and feel as privileged as I do to live in a free country.

I know our country has it's own issues, sometimes it seems that today it does more than other times...but I still love our country and am so thankful to be born here and have a love of all that that the USA stands for.

Come back tomorrow to see the crafts I've been working on!

Hello there Blogland Friends! It's a rainy day here at my house and the perfect day to stay inside and try out a new recipe!

Recently I posted about how I have made some new habits over the past year, that have helped and impacted my journey to a better me. I wanted to follow up a bit on that today and share one of my top tips to helping anyone succeed with ANY goal that they may have in life AND share a recipe that I use when I want to indulge or celebrate my successes!

It's really quite simple! Even the Boys Scouts know my top tip to success. ;)
 Be prepared! Think ahead! Plan.

When I don't plan ahead and prepare (whether for a lesson I am teaching, for meal planning, or anything), I never do as well. In fact, I often feel like I take a step backwards, rather than forwards when it has to do with my goals, when I don't have any preparation. This was one thing I learned to do even moreso this past year. In order to succeed and move forward, I had to think ahead!

I even made this little printable word art, that I am sharing for free with you today!
(Just print it out as is or copy and paste and make it the size of your choice. Free for non commerical use only.) I hang it up in my kitchen, and it helps to remind me that where I want success...I need to plan for it!

Well...I love dried fruit and I love any kind of chocolate, but especially dark chocolate! This combination is perfect in DOVE® Fruit snacks. DOVE® Fruit snacks are definitely a better-for-you snack alternative than some I would have chosen in the past. It's so easy to just get so so busy with everyday life and running around, that we forget to plan ahead with food. Then when we get hungry, we are just tempted to grab and eat anything that is convenient...OR whatever is closest to you! Ha! So I really try and plan ahead more with my food.

Saint Patrick's Day Free Printables and Horseshoe DIY Tutorial

#stpatricksdaydecor #stpatricksday #saintpatricksday #freeprintables #subwayart #wordart #potogold #diy #tutorial #holidaydecorations #irish #lucky

We LOVE celebrating St, Patrick's Day at our house! My husband's family has a lot of Irish in it that makes it even more fun, but...I seem to find myself without as many decorations to put up this time of year. So...I decided to make some printable word art and share it as a free printable! This way, you don't have to spend any money or even get dressed or leave your house! lol Best way to decorate, right? haha

The first one I started designing was a fun subway art. I LOVE the way it came out! I don't know what it is about Subway art, but I love it! So fun and cheery. Festive and simple.

What Does the Fox Say? Valentine Printables

#valentinesday #classvalentines #teachvalentines #diyvalentines
#handmadevalentines #valentines #whatdoesthefoxsay

Are you still hunting for the perfect Valentine? Need a last minute one? Do you have a boy who doesn't like the cheesy valentine options? Just want something different and easy? Well, I have one more fun idea for you today (and links to all of my others as well)! And it's so fun and easy! AND I even included another free printable for you here.

What Does the Fox Say? How many times did you hear this song last year? I have to say that I don't mind hearing it so much anymore. lol BUT...my kids still seem to have an affinity to foxes now. lol So, when I saw the fun fox little stuffed animals, button pins for Valentines, and even this cute little notepad and pen set, I obviously thought of that song. And of course...my kids start singing it once again. I seriously think that my toddler thinks that the sound that foxes make is "ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding". She gets the cow sound right, and the duckm and the pig, horse, dog, etc. But the fox? lol It's "ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding". Too funny!

So, here's one more fun free printable to go with any little fox valentine you find out there. (I found a bunch of mine at my Neighborhood Market.)

AND...
if you are new to my blog and looking for MORE Valentine DIY ideas, I've posted several other ideas here (including more printables!)

Don't Do DUMB Things with your Smart Phone. {Free downloadable printable}

I don't know about your house, but MINE can always use this reminder. Whether it's being on the phone too much, not present in your kids' lives, a teen who needs the reminder or another reason that you have, I love this recent quote given in a talk by Randall L. Ridd. Love, love, love it!

So, I created a free printable that you can download yourself and hang up in your own house. It's definitely going up in ours...possibly in more than one room even!

What are some of your favorite quotes? I have a quote wall that I started at our last house. Recently, I have been moving it to another wall/corner and also putting up more around different places in our house. I love that wherever I look there is upliftment, encouragement and even some laughs. Love my word art, especially when there is also humor in it.

I'd love to hear some of your favorite quotes. Who knows? Maybe I'll make some word art up of them and send you the free printable to that one as well!

You can access the free printable of this here on a google doc.
(For personal use only and please give me credit for the word art design.)
