I'm so excited to be part of a fun Halloween Blog Hop with CardMakers blog and Glue Dots today!

With Halloween just around the corner, you can find all kinds of fun cards and papercrafting on this blog hop! AND there's even a giveaway you can enter on GlueDots blog too!

BUT, before you start checking them all out...I want to share with you the fun I had papercrafting and dressing up this little treat to give away. It was so easy and fun and fast too!

Have you seen the fun ways people dress up cupcakes? That's what got me started on this project, but then I adapted it to work not only with cupcakes, but with cookies, or mini donuts too! So fun and you can change it up!

Here's what you'll need:

No Carve Pumpkin Decorating Ideas; DIY Bubble Gum Machine Pumpkin

Do your kids have pumpkin decorating contests at their school? Ours do in a few grades. My daughter made a minion a couple years ago. And this year my first grader brought home a pumpkin from her field trip to the pumpkin patch and got to decorate it (without any carving). She had all kinds of ideas and even drew them all out, but this is the one she chose.

I love that it was easy enough that she could do almost all of it herself!
She was so proud and LOVES it!

Here's how we made it. We actually already had everything we needed at home to make it too! Super simple!

What do you think of when you hear the word "road trip"? Do you groan and remember being stuck in a car for what felt like forever? OR do you get excited and start planning right away? I have to say that I have felt some of BOTH of these emotions. BUT...over the years, as we have traveled literally from the South to the North on both sides of the country, I have come to feel excitement all of the time now. Most of this is due to figuring out how to make road trips successful and making everyone in the car happy. And today I'm going to share all of my great tips with you to do just that!

Plus I have over 25 game and activity ideas for many different ages that you can play in the car...including a tutorial to make this fun and easy DIY Travel Activity Center.

It's magnetic and keeps everything in one place and from falling all over the floor. So keep reading to see How to Make Your Road Trip a Happy One For Everyone.

Boy Scout's DIY Paracord Neckerchief Slide

I've shared a few posts in the past where I have shared some fun cub scout projects I have made, but today I want to show you a super easy BOY scout project. My boys are getting older, and don't want the cutesy stuff, but this one they like!

My boys seem to ALWAYS be losing their slides...whether they take them off at home and misplace them, or at a scouting activity or overnight campout. And the ones at the scout store add up fast!

Well, this is perfect for you to make a few or even as troop and very little cost!

Using your Silhouette to create DIY Vinyl Nail Art

First off, let me preface this post with...these are not my best ever pics. Trying to take pictures of your own hands, by yourself, is not the easiest. haha

Have you ever tried some of the nail art decals out there? I have and some seem to not stay on very long at all and others that cost more do. They're all fun though! Some of them are actually made from vinyl that you heat up before applying. I started thinking about this, and thought why not try and make my own?!

So, here is my first attempt at DIY Nail Art Decals.

haha I think they came out super fun!

DIY Vinyl Nail Art Using your Silhouette Machine

First I started by creating my own designs in my Silhouette Designer Studio program on my computer. I stuck to some pretty simple designs:

haha Aren't they too fun?! My kids LOVED them AND they were super fast and easy too!

DIY Diaper Wreath Tutorial {with Diaper Rosettes}

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser.
All opinions are mine alone.

#GameTimeClean #CollectiveBias

I enjoyed taking the day off yesterday with my kiddos at home from school. I love when they're home (even though my house looks like a tornado went through it on these days), and honestly miss the summer days when they are all here all day EVERYDAY. BUT...at the same time, sometimes that structure is good when they are back at school and I can get the house picked back up, can run my errands, and can make some fun little gifts and projects like this cute Diaper and Rosette Wreath!

Last week I told you about the Grand Opening at a new Walmart Neighborhood Market near me at 808 W Walnut Street in Rogers, AR. I made sure I stopped in on the day that they opened. They had all kinds of fun samples and people there welcoming the community. I love that you can order online, and then go pick up (in a carline) at this store and am excited to give it a try!

One thing I needed to pick up while I was at the Grand Opening of this Walmart Neighborhood Market was a package of Huggies Diapers- Snug and Dry Ultra Super Pack

(Keep reading to see how I transformed this box of Huggies diapers into a cute Diaper and Rosette Wreath.)

Hellllloooo Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! They always go by too fast, don't they?

Well today, I'm excited to share with you one of the simplest DIY projects that I love! It's my own DIY Car freshener or home air freshener.

It's really simple, so I'm going to get right to the specifics for you!

I start with a little chipboard. Any shape will work. I just picked this little flower that I had one hand to show you today. It's about 3 inches in diameter.

Red, White, and Blue DIY Festive Chunky Bead Necklaces

Are you ready to celebrate the Fourth of July?! We are! It's one of our most favorite holidays at our house and we love dressing up for it too! Last year we made these fun little DIY Red, White, and Blue Patriotic Apron Skirts here. And we still love them! I especially love the one that I made from a neckerchief. In fact, I've been working on a tablecloth/picnic spread blanket out of checkered patriotic neckerchiefs lately as well.

BUT...today I wanted to share these fun red, white, and blue festive bead necklaces we made for the big day! They were so easy and fun to make too!

I love how they are all different and unique to each girl.

3D Wire Star Craft Tutorial

I don't know about you, but I have been BUSY BUSY this week and I still have so many more things to do still before the week is over! I did have a little fun with a small craft that I can add to my Fourth of July decorations though. AND I can even use it at Christmas time as well! (I love using the same decorations for more than one holiday when I can! Less to store!)

Well, if you follow me on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook you may have seen a sneak peak of today's post already. It's a great one for From this to That Friday. From a spool of wire, to a hanging star! It's a really fun, fast and simple tutorial on how to make wire stars.

They're so simple and still 3D and pretty. You can leave them as the plain silver wire stars like I did, OR you can spray paint them and make them red, white, and blue or whatever color you want!

So today I am sharing a little tutorial on how to make these little gems.

DIY Sock Snake

I know we have all heard of and seen the sock monkeys for years now. And I learned how to make sock bunnies as a kid (Don't worry, I'll show you how to make these soon too)...AND I've even shared how to make this fun little sock minion here.

BUT have you ever made a sock snake?!

DIY Lucky Clover Glass Pendant Necklace

Happy End of School to everyone with kids out there! I'm so excited to not have to wake my kids up so early every morning and to get into our summer routine!

Today I wanted to show you this fun little DIY glass pendant necklace I made! All you need is the glass tile, the hook for the tile to attach to the chain, the chain, some diamond glaze (all of which I got on etsy), and then a four leaf clover and some paper for the background (which is actually totally optional. It also is fun as a floating clover on the glass tile.)

Red, White, and Blue Patriotic Apron skirts (Basics in Sewing)

Happy Almost End of May! That's definitely a reason to celebrate around our house, because all of the end of school hullabaloo is ALMOST over! AND I get to have my kids home with me more soon! I also get to start thinking about fun summer things coming up, one of those being family fun on The Fourth of July! I love love LOVE the Fourth of July. In fact, that's the date my hubby actually wanted to get married on. Wouldn't that have been great?! Fireworks for you anniversary every year! Ha! We didn't get married that day in the end, but it's still a favorite holiday at our house!

So, today I want to share with you these super cute Fourth of July...Red, White, And Blue...Patriotic Apron Skirts I made for my girls. They love them and had so much fun playing in them already! I love how cute they are with the little attached aprons.

Spring Front Door Mat Re-Do {Stencil Tutorial with the Silhouette}

I was thrilled to get to be one of the guest bloggers over at the Silhouette School Blog recently, while Melissa attended the SNAP Conference for Bloggers. I love Melissa's tutorials and know they have helped me a lot when I have questions about my Silhouette, so if you haven't ever been over to her site, go check out all of her amazing tips and tricks she shares! I have a bit of an obsession with my Silhouette machines and have a secret worry...I'm always afraid that the inside of my house looks like vinyl threw up all over it! Ha! So, someone please tell me if it ever looks that way. hahaha

For today's post I want to share with you, how I took my old front porch rug (that I bought last spring), and used my Silhouette to redesign it, and to give it new life! You don't have to go buy a new one each year...just spend a little time and creativity with what you've got. It's so much fun and I love the way mine came out!

First thing I did was to choose the colors I wanted on my "new" rug/mat. This is what my front door mat looked like after the winter and what I started with:

Not so cute and fun anymore...lol. But...I liked the same colors, (AND I already had similar colors in my paint stock here at home) so I stuck with a light aqua, green and a dark brown. So, I got started and took some spray paint and painted the whole mat one color to begin with.

DIY Card Table Playhouse Slipcover

#playhouse #kids #summeractivities #summer #outdoorplay #funforkids #diygifts #gift #diy

Today I want to share with you this fun DIY Card Table Playhouse Slipcover. It's such a simple and fun idea, that can be made with just some basic sewing knowledge.

My mom made this for one of my daughter's for her birthday a few years ago, and it is still a favorite to get out. (Aren't grandmas the best?!) It's basically a playhouse, made out of fabric, that slides right over the top of a card table. So the card table provides the framing for the house. This makes it so easy to store, because everything can be taken down and folded up and put away in the closet. I love the way it can be stored in such little space, but still provides a large fun playhouse.

Keepsake Handwriting Rolling Pin {DIY Mothers Day Gift)

This shop is not compensated in any way for this post. All opinions are mine.

#mothersday #diy #gift #handwriting #keepsake #mothersdaygiftideas #mothersday2015

If you're anything like me, as a mom, I love to keep little treasures of how my kids' handwriting looks. I love the little handprint things they make me many years for Mother's Day too. But I thought it would be fun to do something different this year. So I gave myself a Mother's Day gift when I had the kids help me make today's project! ;)

I picked up this wooden rolling pin at the store...and decided I wanted each of my kids to write their names on it, in their own handwriting. So, here's what I did:

DIY Temple Block Set Tutorial

A little over a year ago, I posted this super cute and fun Temple Block Set here. I had made it as a gift for my niece, and have since made several and even sold some. While, I am not selling them anymore, I have really enjoyed seeing others get excited about having one in their house as well. I know that I love seeing my kids play with it, and love seeing the reminder of the temple in our home. It is still one of my favorites and I still get asked about a tutorial for it. So...today's your lucky day! I'm posting a DIY tutorial on how you can also make one!

It's really pretty simple.
