Tye Dyed Ghosts and Ghouls {Recipe}

Happy October!

I am loving that the fall colors are starting to show in my neck of the woods! That calls for some fall fun in the kitchen, don't you think? So today, to celebrate the vibrant colors of fall, I've got something super fun for you and full of color!

Tye Dyed Ghosts and Ghouls!

haha Aren't they too fun?! My kids LOVED them AND they were super fast and easy too! 

So, here's what you'll need to make them:

Donut Holes

Fruit Roll Ups (not the mini snack size)

Candy eyes 

Almond bark or white chocolate

Skewers

(Optional for the base: brownies and coconut grass)

1. Your base

The first thing I did was to create a fun base to place the skewers in. I wanted it to kind of look like the ground, so I used brownies for the dirt, and green food colored coconut for the grass.

2. Eyeballs

Next, I melted the almond bark, so that I could dip some of the donut holes in this to create some fun, ooey gooey eyeballs. 

3.Dip your donut holes in the melted almond bark, add your candy eye, and place on wax paper to harden.

These are fun to just place on the "ground" base you create...

OR to put on skewers like cake pops like below:

4. Ghosts...Drape and shape!

Now you're ready to start making some fun ghosts. Take a donut hole and put it on the end of a skewer. Then open your fruit roll up and drape it over the top of the donut hole.

As you drape it over the donut hole, shape it as desired. I pinched a bit at the sides of one, to create the look of some little arms on this ghost.

5. Place in Base.

Take your ghosts and ghouls and eyeballs and place them into your base. They are so much fun to look at and so easy to make! 

6. Repeat steps above as many times as desired. 

That's all there is to it! 

The kids love them too and have so much fun making them! haha
