A few weeks ago, my sister sent me a cute card that I posted on here with a few other cards I got as well. I loved it! But I also don't have as many primas as she must have. :) I have also seen this card made on splitcoast a bunch, so I decided to try one for myself...I am not sold on the colors I used-may have to try another one still and it is awfully sparkly. I think I would like beads in the center instead of glitter, but it was fun to try. :) Thanks for the inspiration K! (I have yet to add a sentiment yet...can't decide how I want to put one on...)
Here is my sister's once again: Like her colors....maybe I should try to stamp in those colors next time...I also like the brads as a different texture in there...oooh! just had a thought-wouldn't a bunch of white primas with yellow centers be pretty!?

Love Baroque!!!!!!!!
I think I forever and always love this Baroque set and how easy and fast it is to make such an elegant card. I still love these colors together too!!! This is similar to the card folder deal I made last year at some point. (It's on my side car somewhere.) The pearls in the corner were a bit big, but I couldn't find my medium size ones...the little thank you metal tag is from a pkg I found of them in the wedding aisle in Michaels.
We had our Stamp Club last night and I love the cards we made and the ones from the swap that I came home with. I think I may have liked the styles of cards we made at this one more than almost any other club night-as a whole. I ended up making that last "Wart's Up" card to take for my contribution to the card swap. (My Hubby took my camera camping on a father Son Campout last night though, so until he gets back...I can't post any pics from last night.)

Due Anyday
Here's another card I made for the tin I auctioned off last week?. Another simple card, but I like the look and the colors. I am wondering if I should have added a bit of paper piercing?
I also have a really fun idea, I got from my sis-n-law, of a card to make with a new stamp set I should be getting at our stamp club night tonight-I'll work on it over the weekend and am excited and anxious to make it and post it on here soon!!! I am also waiting on some other stamps I ordered for my bday and mothers day to come in the mail!!!!! Hopefully they will get here soon too!!!!!!!!
School Spirited Thank You's
Being the PTO Room Parent Coordinator this past year, I wanted to make one last thank you for all of the room parents at my kids' elementary school this year, so I made a bunch of these cards with our school colors and our school mascot (raccoon). Although, after about 3 of these, I simplified, and decided to punch the word window right into the blue and stamp the sentiment on the inside of the card to show through the window. I also dropped the brads and I stopped tearing the edges and just inked the edges all the way around. Then I put each of their names on the bottom of the tags hanging in the front.

Hoppy Birthday
Here's an easy card I threw together today for a friend of my boys. I used the same layout as I did awhile back with the barnyard animals card I made for another bday. This time though, I popped the squares up and didn't add the velum across the bottom. I have to say I do like the velum on it better though.
(The clouds look a little green here, but I used the cool caribbean to sponge them with the scalloped punch.)

My idea of housework...
Here is another super fast and easy card to create using DP. I made a few cards this way last week, since I was trying to get so many done. I love the colors and design on this paper too and I still love this stamp. Who wouldn't smile at this card when they got it? Ink is true thyme and paper from HobbyLobby. Simple simple card!
Birthdays are for the BIrds
I've used this set a few times lately. It's about time I warmed up to it. I do like how fast and easy it seems to make a card with it-esp with DP paper. I love the colors with this paper. I embossed everything I stamped with choc chip craft ink and ?????what's that red-I forget right now-it's the red in teh earth elements, b/c I have that stampin spots of that in craft and I love them!!!

SC227 Fairy Grateful
I was making some cards last week and was running out of ideas for layouts, so I looked up the sketch challenge for the week and it worked great! (SC227) I think it turned out cute. Right after I made this, of course my 3 yr old daughter wanted a fairy card too, but she wanted a pink fairy with "sparkels all over it and I liked the whole fairy sparkled too. I'll have to try that next time.
The fairy stamp is from H&M stamps. I have to say that as far as acrylics go, they stamp the best (next to rubber stamps) so far of any acrylics I have tried.

Mother's Day Cards
Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there!
Here are a few variations of Mother's Day cards I made this year. I love how just changing the designer paper, gives the cards a whole different feel to them. I used the same stamp (From Sunbeams stamps) b/c I don't have many stamps for mothers day and I like this one anyway-I'd love to find a cute angel stamp to use along with it someday. Any suggestions?
This first one shown below is one I made last year with one sheet wonders. I used that same layout for the next few as well. I like the simplicity and speed of this card. The next two are also from a set of one sheet wonders. I actually started this set last year, but just finished them this week. I'll show you more of this set later. I don't normally like things symmetrical, just ask anyone who knows me!! :) But it fit this time. I actually like all the white and the simplicity of this one. I also like the texture of the "yarn" on the side. This one has pearls randomly on it, instead of the jewels in the above one. (It's kinda hard to see them.)
The next two are the same layout once again, but different DP again. It's interesting the different feel fo them-even with the same DP, but different areas of the paper cut.
I like the cut of paper in the above pic best, but am not sure which ribbon I like best. The pic below is a bit blurry-sorry-there's also a small smudge on the bottom left. Grrrrr...
Back to Mother's Day...I had no idea how many sacrifices mothers make until I was one. I appreciate my mother and all she has done for me and continues to do for me so much and
sincerely hope all you mothers out there truly do have a wonderful Mother's day!
Smiles!

Week of stamping
Apparently this has been the week to stamp...for me at least. I have had deadlines though and had to do so much, that it hasn't been as enjoyable as other times. I do like seeing the outcomes though...I'm a little short on sleep though and have more to do this next week too.
Our church had a service auction as a fundraiser for all of the youth camps, boy scout camps and cub scout camps and I took a tin full of cards I made to be donated in the silent auction. And since I already donated another tin full of cards earlier this week, I had to stamp a bunch more for this one.
So, here are a couple of the ones I made:And two more I made that are variations of past cards I made:

Teacher/Staff Appreciation
Our PTO asked for donations for gifts for staff and teacher appreciation, so I made: one, a tin (like the one below) full of pre-made cards and two, this tin seen below full of altered items. At first, I was going to do a "school type" theme-with stamps of crayon, scissors, etc-with my Teacher-bella stamp I love, but decided that they get a lot of things along this line, and that it might be nice to get other things too. I was trying to decide what to make and what colors to use, when I thought of this recent acrylic frame/notepad we made at our last club mtg. So I planned everything around it and I think it turned out great!I think that my fav was making this little matchbook case to hold the giant paperclip bookmarks in...was pretty easy and displayed them so cute!

Cards for G Grammy's 80th Bday
We couldn't be there to celebrate with R's Grammy H this week for her 80th bday, so we sent cards. A made one, B colored a pic for her and I pulled out this owl one I made...when? a year ago that I still had-I still like the rhinestones on the owl-hard to see...(since she used to collect owls I hear) and made this other really simple one (that is the worst pic-sorry! the ink showed up weird in this pic-the colors really do match!)
...more to come later this week-working on some things for teachers at the school and another church service auction...
I was also asked about a template or dimensions for the purse cards. I traced every piece when I made them, so I will measure them and scan it in soon.

Last Club night project from April
I forgot to post this a couple weeks ago after club night. We have made these once before, but I think I was the only one of us in the club who did. I also made some of these for teachers for Valentines, but forgot to take pics before I gave them away. They are always so cute and useful!
(You use an acrylic photo frame and lay it down, make an insert and put a post it pad on top! Add a pen and some velcro and wala!
