I actually stamped about a dozen cards for my mom when I was out of town last week, albeit siple ones....it's always harder when you don't have all of your regular supplies with you, even IF you try and remember to take most...I didn't however take any pics...oops. I did like the one that I made with Baroque the best perhaps...maybe I will try and recreate it this week.
I'm excited to make some ones with my cute new set of quail birds soon.
Here are a few little treat boxes I made for friends recently though.

Wu-hoo!
I'm on a roll! :)
Love both of these from a new set I got. I am really into simplicity right now it seems. On the first one, I kept thinking I needed to tie a ribbon or do something to the ribbon other than leave it straight across and flat, but every time I tried it, I liked it better just the way it was....your thoughts? And the 2nd card, again simple, not many layers...velum on the bottom, but I like it. I like the pheasant...it reminds me of Idaho, where I grew up.
And I am ready for fall!!!! Can you tell? :)

More?..so soon?
I got another card done earlier today too!!!
I got this stamp set specifically for this one stamp. I never do that!!! But I also figured I would use the other stamps too, so it's all okay. :) I so wish you could see what the colors on the focal peacock feather REALLY look like. I stamped it in versamark and then used my pearl-ex powder to put the color on it and it shimmers just like a real peacock feather!!! I've had that in mind ever since I saw the stamp set in the catalog!!! BUT-you can't tell from the pics. I even took some pictures at different angles, trying to show it better, but...nada! I'll have to try again later...anyway...simple, but I think I like it. :) (I like the wide satin ribbon too.) :)
Can you believe I stamped???!!!
I can't!!! But it has made me excited and anxious to do more! We added a room onto our house (through the garage) and I have an area out there I get to stamp in-still getting everything from my room to it, but I sat down and stamped last night after the kids went to bed. It took me FOREVER to make the first card-definitely out of practice! The 2nd one came faster, although I like the 1st one better for once. :)
I am not much of a "floral" person, but I love this set for some reason. I got it a few months ago, but haven't had time to even put it together until last night. I think this would be beautiful to make a set of cards for someone with these stamps and colors!
Let me know what you think...and if you ever check this site anymore since I've been inactive for so long! :)
Smiles!
