Temple Block Set

I am soooo excited to show you this fun block set I made for my niece for Christmas. She is only one and the fifth girl in her family. Her mom told me she doesn't need toys and just to do something with vinyl that she would appreciate later. She told me her favorite songs were "I am a child of God" and "I love to see the temple". I thought...that's not much fun for a one year old, so I came up with this! A chunky LDS temple stacking block set.

And I absolutely love love love! the way it came out! Now I need to make some for my girls! Blocks that easily stack into a temple! No frustration that they won't stand up...And a temple that you can display that is kid friendly and doesn't break! Love!

(A special thanks to my husband for making my drawing of what I wanted the blocks to look like into a reality.) ;)

Did you already have the stamps for the block temple or did you paint it or do it another way?

Hey Shana,

Sorry I didn't get back to you on FB...trying to keep my head above water with all the sickies in my house. I had Ryan cut some 2x4's and 2x6's for the blocks, painted them with white acrylic paint. And then I cut out the lettering and designs with my vinyl cutter and applied the vinyl. Hope that helps.

Any chance you sell the vinyl you made this with? :-)

,
Tricia,
I'm working on a tutorial and possibly a kit to sell right now for this actually. Hoping it will be a special for the month of March. Keep checking back or email me at createitgo@gmail.com to see if I have it ready soon. Thanks!

I love the simplicity of this and I think that this song is a favorite among most primary children. Thanks for sharing

Oh, this is so cute! Can I ask what fonts you used?

I know one was Levenim and another Freebooter script. The other two I think I purchased through the SIL online store.

Thank you! A friend wants to make something similar for the YW in our ward.

Yes, I would a tutorial. Just curious about the fonts you used and how you got your Moroni cut out. :) THanks.

I just found this on Pinterest and I am so sad it wasn't around 3 years ago! My son was OBSESSED with temples from age 18 months - 4 years (when we got sealed.) He was always building "temples" with his blocks. You are a genius, lady. You should sell these.

All right. Everyone that has shown interest in these, I have decided to list them in my etsy shop for a temporary time to see how they do. Here's the link if you want to get your hands on one! Thanks for the love!

Thank you so much

These are great! Did you ever end up doing a tutorial for this project? I checked the Etsy link and it didn't work. Thanks!

Got so excited to see you had put it on Etsy and now is not there. Any chance you created a tutorial? I am looking for something like this for the activity day girls in my primary.

I would love a tutorial if it's available. And do you have the sticker kits available for purxhase?
