I don't know about you, but I have organization on my brain! I shared recently on FB, that this was one of my main goals this year. I want to go through my entire house and re-organize each and every room! (Especially the craft closet, the garage, and my laundry room!) But one of the first things I wanted to tackle was also my girls' bedroom. It seems to get out of control SOOOOO easily! And then who is called in? ME! They get too overwhelmed to be able to get it back in order themselves.
When I realized that this would go right along with our Silhouette FB Challenge this month, it was the perfect time to get started!
So for us, we have multiple girls sharing a room. So, I always try and use my space as wisely as possible. That means utilizing closet space as a room space saver. I was trying to figure out how I could fit a dresser IN the closet, rather than putting multiple ones in their bedroom. I realized that the Rubbermaid drawers fit perfectly!
Then the wheels started turning!
I also wanted for even my smallest (who is 3) to be able to find and put away her own clothes. I couldn't just label the drawers with words that meant, so I designed some myself and cut them out of vinyl. The Rubbermaid drawers are actually perfect for this as well, being plastic.
I think they worked out perfect! I stacked two sets on top of each other and love how my girls can reach (almost) all of them and that NOW, they have a home for everything! (The top drawer I left blank for now and use it to pull out summer clothes, (like shorts) that they don't wear at the time, and put up there. It actually works well that they can't reach that one, because they constantly still try and dress like it's summer in single digit temperatures!)
(So the lighting and pics are less than perfect. It's hard to photograph inside a closet!)
(I let the girls help fill the drawers, so they are a bit less than nice...but hey! They aren't on the floor!)
Now...whether or not this will help the clothes stay off the floor...when they change a bajillion times a day...we shall see! But it helps me! haha

Great idea! So useful for toddlers!
Do each of the girls have their own set of drawers?
I love that you put pictures on the drawers! Makes it so easy for kids to see what is in each drawer! Great job!
This is a brilliant idea!!! Having the word and picture label is perfect.
Oh my goodness, these are SO smart!!! I need to remember this for the future! Thanks for sharing at our Creative Spark party. Hope you'll join us again this week :)

Really lovely idea! Thumbs up!
Love these pictures to go with the words! Did you create them yourself or find them somewhere?
