Beate's Weekend Sketch

This is my first time to do a "challenge". Misty talked me into it. (It wasn't that hard to do though-gave me an excuse to stamp...) And after the week I have had (cleaning up after my daughter got sick in the car-twice-in two different car seats), I was actually at a point where I felt okay doing it. My house was pretty clean (other than the laundry that has needed to be folded for how long?) and AJ was on the mend...so here is my first stab at these.

I need to figure out the best angle to take pictures from still-sorry if it is kinda hard to see. (The lighting in the 2nd pic might be a little better.) I distressed the edges of the black and green-again, hard to see and while I was looking for my brads, I found these star sequins which I thought worked great! One time I put the more pewtered look on a military card I made, and my DH (member of the army) told me that the brassy look is better-like the gold stars, so this time, I guess if he could see it, he'd agree more with it. I'll have to make another and send one to him.

Thanks for the challenge Beate! I enjoyed it. :)

Recipe:
Paper: army green, brown, tan (don't know what brand I used)
Techniques: distressing
Accessories: brads, black grosgrain ribbon, star sequins
Stamps: su The Free and the Brave, Land that I Love
