Today I'm sharing one of my favorite past recipe posts! Why? Because I still have yet to find a better recipe to replace it. It's a winner!
I've never been a huge sugar cookie fan, until I found this recipe came along. It's the best! And your kids will love them too, plus you get a fun afternoon decorating them all together. Win! Win! Perfect for the holiday season!
Sooo Soft Sugar Cookies
3/4 cup margarine
1 1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 Tablespoon vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup Miracle Whip
1 tsp baking powder
About 6 1/2 cups flour (enough for soft dough, but not sticky.)
Combine all ingredients and roll into a 1/4 inch dough. Cut into shapes. Bake at 375 degrees for 5 minutes, no more. Frost.
(Sometimes I roll it out a tad thicker and bake a tad longer. The cookies won't really look done when you pull them out because you want to pull them out right before they start browning on the edges and top.)
I think we have a happy camper, don't you? (We also have enough sprinkles! haha) Enjoy!
