Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was spent taking a walk through a colorful fall environment with some crisp weather! Don't we all wish for that right now?! With a hint of the smell of an apple orchard nearby, right? haha I wish that's all I did this past weekend.
I did have a bit of fun indoors though and got to do some stamping and papercrafting! And now today, I'm excited to be part of a Blog Hop this week with Stampendous and Glue Dots® and show you all the fun I had and so many others too!
It has been way too long since I have stamped, when it used to seem that I was stamping or papercrafting weekly if not more! It always takes me a a few minutes to get back into it, and then I am hooked!
BUT guess what, not only do I get to show you the fun we're all having with this blog hop this week, but there's a giveaway as well! Check it out!
So, keep reading to see how you can enter to win one of three awesome prize packages! First though I want to show you my Spooktacular Halloween card I made!
This time I had fun with some new Stampendous stamps and micro glitter and ended up with a Spooktacular Halloween card, perfect to add to a plate of goodies for friends and teachers. And it was pretty simple to make!
Supplies:
Stampendous Micro Glitter
Stampendous Cling Stamps and handle
Craft Glue Dots®
Spray Adhesive
White Cardstock
Patterned Cardstock
Black string or yarn
I wanted to make a fun and colorful background, so I decided to take a used dryer sheet and wrap it around a piece of cardstock. You're probably thinking #1...what?!!! and #2...that IS not colorful! haha Just wait and you'll see why.
I sprayed the cardstock with a spray adhesive first, and then laid the dryer sheet on flat.
I used craft Glue Dots® to pull it tight and adhere it to the back of the cardstock.
Then I took my Micro Glitter and poured it over the dryer sheet in rows of colors. The glitter stuck to the dryer sheet just as is, but if you're worried about it staying OR want it a bit darker, just take your spray adhesive and spray it over the top of the dryer sheet as well, before pouring your glitter on. (Shake the excess glitter back into the bottle for your next project.)
See I told you there was a reason I used a dryer sheet!
After that I decided to add a bit of black string to resemble a spider web over the glittered cardstock piece as well.
There, I had my colorful background! I used my craft Glue Dots® to adhere it to a larger piece of black and white patterned cardstock that I had pre-folded into a 5x5 card, which really made it pop!
Now I could add a fun little picture and/or stamped sentiment. And any other embellishments that you want, like this simple ribbon I wrapped around the front of the card. So simple and fun!
I love how easy it is to work with cling stamps. You can really see where you are stamping and they're great to clean and store. My kids love taking these Halloween stamps and creating a whole scene first on the Stampendous Jumbo Handle, and then stamping them all at the same time too!
There you have my fall fun for today!
And now I want to keep stamping and papercrafting all week! haha
Ok, I know you're wanting those prizes, so...here's the skinny on the Giveaways!
