A week or so ago, for April Fool's, I had a bit of fun with my kids and had this waiting for them when they came home from school. My 15 year old son informed me as he looked at the table, after seeing the note on the outside door, that this was NOT funny! Ha! Win for Mom! hee hee
I did however have some dirt and worms waiting for them in little pudding cups, for a little snack. I have made them with ice cream before, but it was so easy to just top the pudding with this time! I just used graham cracker crumbs and gummy worms and was done!
But my favorite thing we've made with them are these Springtime Robin's Nests. I took the idea from my previous post here where I took marshmallows and Chow Mein Noodles and made these easy little nest treats, but then I simplified it even more, and just put it right on top of the pudding!
This is all you need to do:
I started with a regular cup of chocolate pudding:
Add some "dirt" (Oreo or graham cracker crumbs)
Add your grass.
(coconut flakes and a little green food coloring, with a drop or two of water mixed together)
Build your nest with chow mein noodles.
And add your eggs!
(AND it's the perfect time of year to get your eggs half off right after Easter!)
And check out that smile! LOVE!
